British Super Model Naomi Campbell Slams Grammy Over Burna Boy and Afrobeats

A popular British Super Model Naomi Campbell is not happy that Burna Boy lost the Grammy awards. She took to her Instagram page to express her displeasure over his loss. She insisted that the Grammy Academy ought to create at least 3 categories for Afrobeats.

The supermodel described the categorization of Afrobeats under World Music category as misrepresentation and should be separated.

She also described the genre of music as what brings "joy, strength and happiness” to her and other people across the world.

Meanwhile, the 49-year-old model has congratulated Angelique Kidjo, the icon who won the Best World Music Album ahead of Burna Boy at this year’s Grammy Awards.  She shared a clip of a speech where Kidjo dedicated her Grammy award to Burna Boy.

Furthermore, she said Burna Boy was not given the honour he deserved at the award ceremony. She claimed that the Grammy Academy lacks proper education.
