President Buhari Appluads Nigerians for Trusting in him

President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded the Nigerians who believed that he deserved a reelection in the just concluded 2019 presidential election which he won.

The incumbent president who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party on the 23rd of February, 2019 presidential polls.

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu announced in the early hours of today that the president succeeded in his second term bid at the presidency  with 15, 191, 847 votes to defeat his closest rival, Atiku who had 11, 262, 978 votes.

“First and foremost, I give thanks to God,” President Buhari said. “I thank the millions of Nigerians who voted to re-elect me for the next four years.”

He added, “I feel so humbled for the trust vested in me in making me worthy of continuing to serve you.”
