The Department of State Services (DSS) successfully rearrested the embattled pro-democracy activist Omoyele Sowore. He was arrested a few hours after he regained his freedom from the custody of the DSS.
He has been in the custody of the service since August where he was first arrested for calling for a #revolutionNow protest.
After he was granted a couple of bills which the service did not obey, on Thursday, the Federal High Court in Abuja gave the DSS 24 hours ultimatum to release him. Fortunately, the service obeyed and he was freed.
However, the story changed today as the service decided to rearrest him. But that didn't come with a serious struggle in court.
Here is a clip that showed a good part of what happened.
See what Buhari has reduced Nigeria to. Assaulting the judiciary & our democracy through the barrel of a gun. How did we get here? pic.twitter.com/dGclLWuxI9— Comrade Deji Adeyanju (@adeyanjudeji) December 6, 2019
