The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has renewed the hope of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as he announced that the Federal Government would start paying N30, 000 minimum wage to the corps members in 2020.
He said the allowance of corps members would be reviewed to reflect the new National minimum wage of N30,000 per month bringing an end to the N19,800 stipends.
He added that already, the figure had been captured in the 2020 budget.
A statement from the media office of the minister said Dare stated this during a visit to the NYSC orientation camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos State.

ReplyDeleteI wonder when it will be implemented in 2020. They've been on dis issue of minimum wage for almost 2years now and we are yet to see a green light on it.
